One of the most important aspects however of acquiring knowledge through books and reading rather than watching a YouTube video about a topic is that you can get to see the analytical process followed to conclude. This will help you develop your analytical skills and will allow you to become a more critical thinker.

Apart from the academic prospects of being someone who reads, reading books that are both fiction and nonfiction can help spark your creativity. This is something that should not be dismissed as creativity can often be the root of many different endeavors from creating art to starting a new startup based on a new idea you have gotten.

This is why being a polymath and someone who loves to read is one of the most important things you can do for yourself, as it will encourage you to constantly be on a trajectory of growth rather than remaining stagnant.
